I am not a fan of reality TV. I do not know if the rest of the world considers Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List to be reality TV.
I do like her and her shows. She doesn’t take any crap. Kathy has been able to milk the concept of being herself and being brutally honest to a whole new level that hasn’t really been seen much on TV.
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List has elements of reality TV. It follows the unscripted format. Kathy allows cameras into her home and to be with her throughout her daily routines and work-related projects and preparation. We get to know her personal friends and family.
I will continue to watch Kathy Griffin. However, I will not watch Survivor, The Bachelor, Big Brother, American Idol, The Surreal Life, etc. Unscripted reality TV that tries to make stars out of unknowns just doesn’t interest me. Shows that try to breathe new life into the careers of has-been celebrities like Danny Bonaduce, Christopher Knight, or Scott Baio interest me even less.
